It’s just a month since our last travel and I was already craving for a travel break. But, at this time, leaving was quite difficult. Our work schedule was too tight. So, instead of feeling depressed, I decided to blog about our Chiang Mai trip last May.
Chiang Mai is the center of Northern Thailand and it is the capital city of the province of this name. With a population of over 170,000 in the city proper (and more than 1 million in the metropolitan area), it is Thailand’s fifth-largest city.
We travelled to Chaing Mai from Yangon. We left at 6:45AM. The flight was about an hour-long.
When we arrived at the airport, we headed to the post office to mail something. Then, we took metered taxi to our hotel.
We arrived in our hotel by 9AM. Our hotel was Bupatara. The room rate was reasonable and we loved the old-feel of the hotel. We decided to go out later at night because Dennis had to write.
On our first night, we went to the Night Bazaar. The street was full of food, art pieces, clothes, and souvenir items.
P.S. These were my favorites: curry noodles and milk tea.
Stay tuned for Day 2.
That’s it!
Regards,
Joamar-John
